This recipe is my personal favorite because I love almonds and I love all berries. Behold, the almondberry smoothie.
Since daylight savings hit me this past Sunday I've automatically switched to 'spring mode.' True, the weather is more or less the same here in Santa Barbara but being an hour ahead sure does make a difference and definitely changes my mood. 6pm is now bright & sunny and all I want to do is lay out at the beach, ride my bike, swim and drink smoothies.
1 - 1 1/2 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk (depending on how thick or thin you like your smoothies)
1/2 cup of frozen mixed berries
1 tablespoon of almond butter
Place all ingredients in blender and enjoy! I like topping mine with coconut flakes to give it more texture.
